Contact and quotes: when you call, WhatsApp or e-mail us – including via the quote form – we process the data you provide, such as your name, company, e-mail address, phone number, pickup and delivery address, date and details of the load. The form opens your own e-mail app with a pre-filled message; the website itself stores nothing. We use this data to answer your question, prepare a quote and carry out the transport (legal basis: steps prior to and performance of a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Price calculator: the town and postcodes you enter are sent from our server to the PDOK Locatieserver (Kadaster, Dutch government) and to openrouteservice (HeiGIT gGmbH, Heidelberg, Germany) to calculate the road distance. This data is not linked to your name and is not stored by us.

Customer records: for completed trips we keep invoices and related data because the law requires it (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

Technical data: on every visit our hosting provider processes technically necessary data such as IP address, browser type and time, to keep the website secure and available (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Requests that do not lead to an order are kept for no more than 12 months. Order data and invoices are kept for 7 years, the Dutch fiscal retention period. Technical log files are deleted automatically after a short period.

We never sell your data. We only share it where necessary: with our hosting and e-mail provider, with our accounting office for bookkeeping, with the routing services mentioned above (without your name) and with authorities where the law requires it. Parties that process data on our behalf are bound by agreements that protect your data. If you choose to use WhatsApp, WhatsApp's (Meta's) terms also apply.

This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics or tracking services, advertising networks or embedded third-party content. Fonts are also served from our own server. That is why we do not ask for cookie consent.

The website uses a secure connection (HTTPS). Only people who need the data for their work have access to it.

You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict processing, to data portability and to object. Send your request to info@vikaro.nl; we will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

We may update this statement, for example when our services or the law change. The date at the top shows when the text was last updated.
